Headache Racks
A headache rack goes across the back of the cab. It's main purpose is to protect the passengers in the cab from cargo in the bed. If you're carrying a lot of cargo and make a sudden stop, that cargo could potentially fly through the rear cab window and injure a passenger. With a headache rack, this risk is eliminated.
Headache racks can also keep the sun off the back of the cab, making it cooler inside. They are customizable, and can come equipped with lights for night use. Headache racks are also easily removable if you ever feel the need to do so.
Here at Full Throttle Parts, we don’t know if the name headache rack is derived from how you would feel after being struck in the head or what you would experience after seeing the cost to repair the damage to the truck.
